WHY TWO BUSINESSES?

When asked "Why two businesses?", the answer lies in a journey spanning almost 30 years. Initially, I started as a graphic designer and became adept at desktop computer technology, founding Dato Designs to serve these talents to a wide range of customers.

Sixteen years ago, I sought a career change and joined the State of California as an IT technician. However, graphic design always remained a part of my work, aiding in documentation production, including manuals, corporate presentations, and more.

In September 2024, I retired from the State of California and am now ready for a new chapter. Small businesses - especially startups and those ready to go the next step - need access to competent graphics designers to set themselves apart from the competition, but they also need access to computers, networks, and technicians that they can trust to take care of them. Dato Designs can do both.
